About Us

Who are we?

Connected is a training and coaching consultancy specialising in resilience and wellbeing. We deliver award-winning training and coaching, wellbeing support, networking, and events all designed to help you connect with yourself, others, the world around us, and your purpose.

How we started

Connected began life as Gemma Louise Coaching in November 2019 which focused purely on working one to one with individuals who had been through trauma and difficulty in their lives. Our Resilience and Recovery Coaching (find out more about this under Coaching in our services) is still available and is a cornerstone of our work, however, the COVID-19 pandemic saw a huge need for resilience work on a larger scale. Therefore, we integrated group training and online events into our portfolio with great uptake. Following the release of the Connected book in October 2021, we made the decision to align all aspects of the business and bring them together under the Connected banner. Our aim now is to raise awareness and spread the word about resilience through everything we do.

We are always open to discussions around partnering with other organisations. Whether you work specifically within the health and wellbeing industry or in something completely different, if you can see a way for us to work together, we would love to hear about it. You can get in touch with us via the contact form or email us directly.

More about Gemma

After graduating from university with a BA(Hons) in Creative Writing and English Literature in 2009, Gemma spent the following two and a half years living and working as a journalist in New Zealand. It was through this work Gemma found her love of personal story and experience which has been a common thread in all her roles to date. Since her return to the UK Gemma has worked in a number of support and wellbeing roles with apprentices, veterans, and those looking for work. During this time Gemma completed an MA in International Relations and is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Coaching and Mentoring at Oxford Brookes University. As well as studying and running Connected, Gemma is also writing her second book ‘My Resilient Self’. Gemma lives in Wigan with her partner Scott and their Yorkshire Terrier, Taz.
